The Process of Fitting an Air Conditioning UnitPosted on by Belmar Services Ltd Blog
As we enter the latter stages of winter, homes all around the country will soon be preparing for the warmer days of spring and summer. To get one step ahead, install your air conditioning unit now and prepare yourself for the warmer nights. In our latest blog post, Belmar Services Ltd outline the process our expert technicians will undertake when they come to your install air conditioning unit.
Find its Place
The first port of call when installing an air conditioning unit is to choose where to place it. In order for the AC unit to be able to function, it must be placed on an outside wall so the pipes and electrical wires can be connected to the outside unit.
Fit the Bracket
Once you have decided on a place to fit the air conditioning unit, secure a bracket for the unit to rest on. Once the bracket has been fitted, you can then make a hole from the wall through to the outside. These holes need to be placed in the centre of the bracket so that the electrical wires and pipes can be fitted easily.
Connect the Pipes and Wires
Assuming the outside conditioning unit is already in place, the wires should be connected to the outside unit and thread through the wall and into the home. Throughout this process, the technicians will be checking the security of each part and carrying out routine quality control checks to ensure the process is smooth and free of any mishaps.
Secure the Indoor Unit to the Wall
Once the wires have been fed through the relevant holes, the technicians will connect these to the unit that has been placed on the bracket and check the functionalities of your system. Once the system is up and running, the technician will then take the time to demonstrate the settings and the controls of your new AC unit to get you up and running.
