What Happens During my Air Conditioning Service?Posted on by Belmar Services Ltd Blog
Just like many appliances and machines, air conditioning units require regular maintenance to ensure they are fit for use and working most efficiently. Here at Belmar Services, we have been carrying out installations and servicing for many years and take a look at what happens during your service in our latest blog post.
No matter the kind of air conditioning system you have in place, a regular air conditioning service will prevent it from suffering a total breakdown.
One of the initial checks that will be done during your air conditioning service will be to detect any leaks inside the system. If any water is found inside the system, it will be drained and any dirt and debris that has been accumulated will be cleaned.
During an air conditioning service, both the fin and fan of the unit will be inspected and cleaned. Regular cleaning of this part of the unit will help to prevent issues including ice formation or the unit not cooling effectively.
During a service, the coolant level of your system will be checked; when the level of coolant in an air conditioning unit drops below a certain point, the temperature of the cooling coil will drop below its normal level and result in the unit coming to a standstill.
Following on from this, the entire system will be cleaned to ensure that dirt and debris do not stop the system from working at its most efficient.
Particular attention will also be paid to the condenser unit, fan evaporator, motor and thermostat.
